Ramesh Yanthra, M.F.A., 

Filmmaker

I am an independent filmmaker, creative practitioner and artist working across visual and motion pictures. I was born in 1971 at Salem district, Tamilnadu, INDIA. I have attended the Government College of Fine Arts and obtained an M.F.A (Master of Fine Arts) degree in 1999. I also worked as an art director for few films in the Tamil film industry and La Reunion Diwali cultural festival in 2005.

My concepts and projects stem from various assorted sources and cultures, which lead me to create time-based work and investigate a vast range of themes within the area of prehistory, ethnography study and cultural developments.
